How do I get an amazing ballet arch?

I have a pretty good arch, but my right is better than my left. I am very serious in ballet. I have a very short torso, really long legs, and natural turnout. The only thing I need are high insteps. Is there something I can do to make my package complete? PLEASE! HELP!

You can strengthen your ankles with a stretch band. But your arch really is what it is, you can't change it. The arch depends on your bone structure. Trying to change that could shorten your career with years or decades. You have an amazing body for ballet, and you say that your arch is good. You are a very lucky person! Now concentrate on clean technique and art of dancing.

You should really point your foot when you are dancing and make sure that you are getting on the top of your platform when you dance. Hope this helps! *It's really pretty when you can finally get that beautiful arch.
You could try;

*elastic bands and work your feet in those, they should be about $6 or under -get it from any kind of fitness store or dance catalog

Depending on how good or bad they are, sticking your feet under a couch or similar object that is heavy works.

Just point them and slip them under the arch of the couch until you feel a (good) stretch (it shouldn't hurt, it should just feel very stretched). Focus on lengthening.

This kind of stretch hurts your heels and the area around it, so if it is hurting that area, stop and shell out however much money you need for one of those neat-o foot stretching devices that have an area for your heel.

Good luck. It'll take forever.
strech your feet consantly. and if your right is better than your left, it s probably not as strong as your left so do you relavaes on your right, and sterch your left more. really work hard on yout toundus because thats whats suposed to help you with your piont.
Sit on the floor with your legs in front of you. Now bend your legs into your chest. Next slowly straiten your legs back with out moving your feet. This is a great exercise. Also just push your foot with your hands.

good luck
You can work really hard to creating more of an arch by stretching your ankles, and having a friend push down on the top part of your foot when you are sitting, legs out straight, toes pointed. But you are also only able to do what your body will let you. Work on keeping your legs straight and knees stretched to help sustain your arch. And remember, all ballet dancers have their own challenges. Nobody has the perfect ballet body, so keep working.
