Is too late to start dancing Ballet?

I used to dance as a child like in pre school and kindergarten. Now I'm gonna be 20 the next month, is it too late to start dancing again, especially Ballet?

No it is not too late to start! You should go ahead and try ballet! If you practice and put your heart into it, it won't take long to become a pro! I know people who started ballet around 18 (close to 20) who could dance better than people who started at a young age...they became a pro! So it is never to late to start!

no, my good friend that is not true.
Not at all. I'm going to be 27 this month, and I just picked up Latin dancing 12 weeks ago, and I'm in intermediate class at the moment. It is never too late to start. Now, since you used to dance when you were a child, that'd be even better than someone who's starting completely for the first time. All the best!
Not at all! You can start and become a very good dancer! although you'll have to make a big effort... but if you really like it, you'll do it! I started ballet with 18 and could make two exams by year to learn faster..

Of course, you don't have any problem with any other kind of dance.

besos!
well yeah.. you should have started pointe at age 11.. im too old for pointe but i stil dance other things like jazz and lyrical. i suggest you strt there and ask the studio instuctor whats he/she thinks. if you are serious about this, then ur going to have to step up to plate.
no, it is never too late 2 start dancing ballet! just start with a beginner class 4 adults. u wont go straight 2 pointe, u have 2 have at least 3 years in a row of ballet classes 4 that, but u can still take technique (on flat) classes. good luck!
No way! You should totally go for it!
If you want to be a professional, it's pretty hard and chances are you aren't going to make it.

If you just want to dance for fun or fitness or anything along those lines, there's absolutely no age where you're too old for ballet. If you can walk, you can dance.
It is definitely not too late! If you really want to and you're willing to put all you have into it, GO FOR IT :]

Good luck.
no it is not too late ......... true you have left it too late to become a prima ballerina but ballet is the basis for all dance, everything from contemporary to jazz ....
