What are some fads current or old in your ballet school?

I know most ballet schools have certain dress codes and stuff but I want to know all the fads that have happened in your ballet school, whether it's wearing tights on the arms or special colored legwarmers or what to wear in your hair, whatever! Let me know. :D thanks.

Ballet tights under really short shorts.
LOL tights on the arms... LOL

I'm not ballet, I'm ballroom. But since not too many people are answering...

We don't have a dress code but a year ago long floating sleeves on practice wear became "a must have" for every Standard girl, and every Latin girl was secretly using Pro Tan (or other fake tan) on the regular basis. There were a few guys who thought that biking or surfing shirts as dance clothes look cool on them. I'm glad they changed their mind.
Using your old stocking (tights) and cutting a hole in them for your head and using them as little boleros. Wearing stupid little Sleeping shorts (like mini hot pants) over your leotard of course. Wearing dainty shiffon wrap around skirts. Wearing sweet arm bands. Wearing a french twist in your hair, instead of a simple bun.
wearing tanks over leotards

we have had a legwarmer fad but they were plain black ones

we had a couple girls wear tights over their leotards but that didnt catch on with anyone else
the girls going to the and from the class dressed in -

their leotard and tights on the bus!

it was so funny: they were in their mid teens!
leg warmers may not be accepted by certian studios after the degejay combo at the barre, but many people get theirs at Holister, and a matching sweater
its hard to have a fad at my dance studio.they are strict and have a limited dress code.
